TRIPLE THREAT GIVEAWAY (YOUTUBE VIDEO)

Here is the video to accompany the giveaway, giving you guys a better visual of the prizes in store with the Triple Threat Giveaway.

OUTFIT OF THE NIGHT/FACE OF THE NIGHT (BEST OF THE BEST)

Sunday night, I got dolled up and attended the annual Best of the Best concert which featured some of the hottest dancehall and reggae artist performing on one stage.  It was being held at an outdoor venue and I thought it would be more suitable to dress in something comfortable for the humid weather.  So this is what I wore...

Romper : Forever 21
Wedge Sandals: Neiman Marcus (BCBG Max Azria)
Cross Over Bag: Aldos

I wanted to keep my makeup quite simple, and decided to pull out my Urban Decay Naked Palette to create this look.  This palette has got to be one of my favorites, because you can create natural to smokey eye looks and the eye shadows are easy to blend.  For my foundation, I used the Makeup Forever HD Foundation, which I haven't used for a while, but have been picking it up lately.  I wanted my lips to be the focal point of my makeup look and added a pop of color using Clinique's "Spiced Apple"

PATTY'S GOT MAIL (LULUS)

Lulus has got to be one of my favorite online stores, besides Asos, and Urban Outfitters.  They sell an array of high end and low end clothing, shoes, and accessories.  They offer one of a kind pieces for a great price.  Shipping is usually free if you spend $75.00 or more.  I saw these shoes on their site back in February and before I could get a chance to purchase them, they were sold out.  I was happy to go on the site to see that they were restocked and I quickly placed my order.  These shoes are absolutely gorgeous and they go perfectly with the Tribal print trend that is so popular these days.  They are ultra comfortable too.  I paid about $40.00 dollars for them.  I also picked up this denim romper too.  The romper has a high cut on the sides that allows you to show off those sexy legs.  I do not remember the price of the romper.  Unfortunately, I do not see any of these items are their site anymore.  If you're not familiar with Lulus, I suggest you check them out.  You wouldn't be disappointed.

URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION (EDEN) REVIEW

I was excited, when Urban Decay finally decided to change the packaging on their Primer Potion to a squeezy tube.  This is much better than the sponge applicator that can often leave a lot of mess on the tube and it doesn't allow you to control how much of the product you want to use.  Instead of getting the regular primer potion, I decided to choose Eden this time around.  What I like about Eden is that it leaves a pale, matte finish.  Often with these primers, I have to apply NYX Jumbo Stick in Milk afterwards, to create a light base, and with Eden, it combines both.  A tiny dot size of this product can be used on both eyes.  This product is priced at $19.00 at Sephora locations.

BORGHESE PROFESSIONAL SELECT MAKEUP BRUSHES

I was first introduced to these makeup brushes by YouTube guru Baylovespow.  After watching her video on these brushes, I decided to renew my Costco membership and pick up a set.  Priced at $23.99, these brushes are great for anyone who wants to have good quality brushes for a fraction of the price.  I'm excited to try them out and hopefully do a full review on them.

Here are what the brush set includes....

Angled Contour Brush

Duo Fiber Blending Brush

Round Foundation Brush

Concealer Brush

Eye Powder Fluff Brush

Eyeshadow Brush

Angled Eye Contour Brush

Domed Smudge Brush

CALL ME AUNTY PATTY

I've anticipated the arrival of my niece for months now, and on May 9th, she arrived, via c-section at 10:11 am, weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz.  Seeing my sister deliver my niece was such a surreal moment and one that I believe has bonded the two of us for life.  As sisters, we always competed for attention, being that we are only 1 year apart in age.  When I found out she was pregnant, I already prepared myself for what was to come.  People often ask me if I'm upset that she was able to get pregnant and I have yet to become a mother.  Not at all.  God has a way of blessing us, when he thinks we've deserved it, and my sister was destined to be a mother.  My niece Onika, is such a special child.  She's so spoiled, yet so precious.  Sometimes, I watch her while she sleeps, in amazement that this little human being is finally here for us to love and cherish her for the rest of our lives.  I'm so blessed to finally become an aunt and I want to be that woman that she can look up to.  I want to set a better example for her, one that she can strive to be.  So many of my life choices, lately, has been because of her, a responsibility I'm proud to uphold.

PATTY'S BACK!

From time to time, we all need to take a break from certain things, so that we can somehow find ourselves once again, regroup and make a grand return.  So your girl is back and I feel good.  Lots of changes has happened in my life and those changes may be reflected in my blog.  I missed you guys so much and I'm so thankful to the amount of people who have sent me well wishes, while awaiting patiently for me to return to Chatty Patty.  Your kindness is greatly appreciated!  Blogging has been such a major part of my life for the past 2 years and stepping away from it, was so difficult but something I needed to do.  I became lost in all the drama that surrounded my life, and it wouldn't be fair to my loyal readers to give you half ass blog postings.  I have so much to chat about and I look forward to giving you my daily dose of blog postings.  Thank you for your continuous support.  Patty loves you dearly!

NIGGA PASS?

So I was at work last night, and some hip hop music was playing and one of my co-workers began singing to the music when the word NIGGA, came into play.  Now you may be thinking, what is so wrong with that statement?  Well, this co-worker is a white woman from the south.  Her excuse, "my daughter is black so, I'm allowed to say it, but I don't allow my daughter to say that word".  Because I was at a work setting, I didn't feel it to be appropriate to check her on that statement, but outside on the streets, I would of had to put her in her place.  I'm sorry but having a bi-racial child or having a circle of black friends, doesn't give you the right to use that word.  You don't get a nigga pass from me.  I get offended when I hear hispanics say the word.  Though we are all minorities, nigga, or nigger is still a derogatory statement, no matter how you say it.  One that I don't use.  What are your thoughts on this issue?  Do you find it offensive for those that are not African decent to use that word?  Does having a bi-racial child, give you nigga pass? Are we to blame for other races to use this word so freely because it is used in many hip hop/r&b songs?

MAYBELLINE SUPER STAY FOUNDATION REVIEW

I initially did a video review on this foundation, but my computer is giving me issues, uploading it, so I will post this written review in the meantime.  I purchased this foundation for about 10.00 US dollars.  For the past week, I have been applying this foundation daily, when going to work.  So here is my unbiased review...

Pros

The shade I chose was Caramel.  I never purchased a foundation, that was true to my complexion, as this foundation, which is difficult for me to find in a drugstore product.  It is also as close to a full coverage foundation as any foundation, I've purchased before, whether drugstore or high end.  There is no need for me to use concealer to hide any acne scaring.  I haven't experienced any breakouts or dryness, due to this foundation.

Cons

This foundation, claims to be a 24 hour wear, which is completely false.  After an 8 hour shift, I can already see the foundation wearing off.  It also claims to be oil free, which isn't true too.  I have oily skin, especially in my T-zone area, and I have to use a matting powder in that area to control the oil.

Verdict

Though it wears off after 8 hours and I do experience an oily effect, I will definitely go out and purchase this foundation again.  I love the full coverage and how it matches my skin tone, perfectly.  It's light weight and I don't feel like I'm even wearing foundation.  Most importantly, it's affordable.

**Have you tried this foundation before?  If so, tell what you think of it.  Are there any other beauty products, you want me to try next month?  Send an email to therealchattypatty@gmail.com.**

SPRING IN PARAGUAYA LOOK

I got this limited edition palette from Sleek a couple of weeks ago, and decided to create a look, to cheer up myself.  There is something about makeup that not only makes me feel even more beautiful, but inspires me at the same time.  This palette has some great colors, perfect from any season, specifically Spring/Summer.  I didn't really have a concept, I was just trying out the palette and came up with this simple to do makeup look.  The colors are pigmented and a little goes a long way, but it does have some fall out, which can be avoided when tapping off the excess shadow, prior to applying it.  In the palette, I used the colors; Cameo (lid), Bittersweet (crease), Stone (outer crease), Blush (blend), and Sandstone (inner crease).  I would of liked to do a video but my webcam is not working on my laptop, so I will have to resort to using my camera in my future videos.

Anywho, here are the products I used to create this look...

Sleek Palette Paraguaya
Maybelline Super Stay Foundation
Black Radiance Complexion Perfection
elf Contouring Blush & Bronzer
Mary Kay powder bronze 1
Avon Smooth Minerals blush (Hearty Peach)
Viva Gaga Glam 2 lipstick
Mark Bare Hug lipstick
Milani Easybrow
mark "What A Line" Felt Tip Eyeliner
NYX jumbo pencil "milk"
Milani Easyliner
Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express
Mac Studio Finish Concealer NW40
Mac eyeshadow "rice paper"

Check out my Nicki Minaj inpersonation...lol!

WHEN SHE COMES AROUND

When I'm alone, I feel your love, but when she's around, I get none at all.  What is about her that makes men go crazy.  What is it about me, that you don't see.  I love who I am, but when she's around, I begin to question myself.  If only I, could squeeze my belly in just a little bit more, then maybe, I can compete for your attention. If you only knew that, to her, you're only another notch on her belt to prove that she's the shit, to me, it's about love.  I stand, tall, confident and proud, trying so hard for you to notice me, and when she comes around, the lights get dim, as it is set upon her while she troats across the room, ever so sexy and proud.  I begin to slump, as I lose all ounce of confidence but you call me over and suddenly I have hope again, you whisper in my ear "can I holla at your friend".

CHATTY PATTY UPDATE

First of all, I have to apologize for my absense.  My life hasn't been quite normal these days, mostly filled with verbal assaults and heartache.  For the first time in 6 years, I'm single.  It's something that I chose for myself, for the betterment of my life.  I was unaware that breaking up would be this difficult.  Because of this, I haven't been blogging.  I just don't have the heart to do it right now.  I have some blog postings I did a couple of weeks ago, that I will upload, along with a giveaway that I will be doing no later than next week, but other than that, I need to take a short break from blogging and all other forms of social media, until I'm mentally prepared to do it all over again.  For all my supporters, I hope that you continue to hang on, till I return, because this isn't a permanent thing.  Patty loves you dearly!
