Last Saturday I took a trip to the nail shop and as I was approaching the entrance, I saw a cute black couple walking with their infant daughter. I smiled as they sat down with their baby. As the husband and I waited to be called, wifey decides to tell her husband to come outside. Maybe I'm over-thinking things, but I got a sense, that she wanted to keep hubby far away from me. Now if I was like those women who love to tek people man, than I can understand, but I'm far from matey status. I just thought it was very stupid of this woman to feel threatened by me. Ladies, has this ever happened to you?

patty i don't even think its only about that. Black women just don't know how to be nice to each other. The first response is a ...watch it B*&(*&.. dont cross me...instead of a smile and Hey sister.
That's why i do random acts of kindness to mess them up. When they give you a side eye for no damn reason..i go "HEY..I like your shoes...or Hey girl...and smile and keep moving.. Left a woman with her mouth gaping once.
The thing is I'm sure they're like that because of some issue in the past...sigh..they have a reason to distrust a SISTER...and lord knows we know about that.

I completely agree! It will take us all day to really get down to the truth of this matter, but I think its sad. You have to be secure in your relationship to know that your man can be near a beautiful woman and at the end of the day, he knows that his heart belongs to you.
